Long Crichel Bakery, near Wimborne in Dorset, has been baking organic bread since August 2000 after constructing a brick oven in an 18th century stable block. The wood fired oven gives a delicious taste to the bread. Wherever possible we use locally sourced ingredients; vegetables and fruit are grown in our own walled garden at Long Crichel. We bake traditional English bread and cakes as well as sourdough and Continental bread, viennoiserie and patisserie. We also toast muesli and make jams.

In October 2008 after an arduous restoration period our Tea Rooms opened at 7 Cook Row, Wimborne in one of the town’s oldest buildings directly opposite the Minster – complete with bow windows, flagstone floors and original Elizabethan timber frame. Come in, sit down and enjoy any of the pastries, savouries, cakes, or bread that we sell in the shop with tea, coffee or organic juices.
