Cakes
These traditional cakes are wrapped in cellophane. They are teatime treats,
which you can keep: If you start one and do not finish it in one sitting, it will keep for weeks, if
stored in a box in a cool place. They are delicious as pudding too, especially with fruit salad,
'compote' or ice cream.
Lemon Cake
Our lemon cake is sharp but sweet, after it is baked, the cake is
plunged into lemon syrup, which is spiked with rum.

Pound Cake
To the classical and simple recipe consisting of just flour, eggs, butter,
and sugar, we add a hand full of sultanas soaked in Sherry.

Sticky Ginger Cake
Very moist and treacly, with just the right amount of ginger, delicious on its own or
with cream or butter.

Apple Cake (Autumn and Winter)
A very moist rich but light cake in the Dorset tradition with chunks of apple.

Soft and moist with chunks of rhubarb.

Quiches, cakes or tarts in larger sizes can be ordered in advance.
We can make you something special, a cheesecake, a chocolate birthday cake or a Victoria sponge filled
with cream and raspberries. We also make petits fours and petits fours sales to order
